What can I say about this book.........?
OK, so I am biased, I have always found Thom's work to be totally inspiring. This however just puts it all together in one edition. The positive attitude Thom has to ADD is amazing and his easy to read style just makes this book a joy to read.
The inspiration Thom gives, to parents whose child is diagnosed with ADD and to adults who have also been diagnosed, to motivate a change in the way we teach and how society in general views those with attention difficulties gives the impetus to go out and help make these changes happen. His positive encouragement to adults to become successful in their chosen profession is wonderful.
Thom does not neglect the downside we all experience, how some people have been so badly battered by society they loose their sense of self worth, he encourages us to help turn this around and embrace the positive side of ADD, the creativity and the energy we posses to go out and change things and to go forward with a more positive approach and a spring in the step. We are as good as those who put us down in the past, if not better, as we have had to overcome more obstacles which have been put in our way.
We who have ADD have a lot to offer and through Thom's positive encouragement we can achieve anything.
