Ecosse ADDers

Survey for "a review of the implementation of the guidelines on ADHD in Scotland"

Ecosse ADDers are representing the views of parents and carers of young people with ADHD on a review of the implementation of the guidelines on ADHD in Scotland. This is with NHS Quality Improvement Scotland. We are in to our second year of this review and NHS Quality Improvement Scotland are very interested in what the services actually mean to us, the parents, carers and users of the service. In order to do this we have devised a short questionnaire for families to fill out. There are separate ones for parents/carers and young people. The information we get from these questionnaires will be used to guide focus groups at a conference we are holding in Edinburgh on November 5th at Our Dynamic Earth. This conference will be for parents/carers and young people themselves. The information from the survey will be fully collated and presented with the main findings in March 2008, we hope!

This is our chance as parents/carers to let the decision makes know what it is we need and what we would like! It is also the young person's chance to say what they feel about their experiences.

If you are interested in attending the conference please either fill in the online form at the end of the parents questionnaire or contact Susan McGaff by email. NHS QIS was set up to help improve the health services that people in Scotland get. The more information we get from parents, carers and young people with ADHD the better.

"Do you have ADHD?

If the answer is YES, we need your HELP.

We want to know what you and your parents/carers think about the services that you get, and how ADHD affects our daily life.

We are running a project to look at ADHD services and the information we get will be used to help make ADHD services better.

It would be great if you and your parents/carers could take the time to complete a short anonymous questionnaire.

This can be done online, just go to and follow the on screen instructions

Thank you for your help."
